I am Les, the Technical & Training Manager at Stacatruc HQ, and I have a strong passion for motorsports. When I'm not working, you can catch me competing in Sim Racing under the alias 'TheFatStig'. I just obtained my Racing license and am excited to be able to start Formula circuit racing having just rebuilt a formula 3 car.  Beyond racing, I take pride in my culinary skills, specialising in making a Roast but love a Spag Bowl, I whip up a mean apple crumble and custard. Watching Sunderland AFC with my family is one of my fav things that brings us all together for some quality time with each other!

My journey began as a young apprentice, where my natural inquisitive nature for tinkering with machines shone through. Transitioning from the AA, I joined Stacatruc in 2013. Here, I focus on assisting colleagues in troubleshooting and instilling confidence in new technologies. Ensuring a 4-hour response time and striving for continuous improvement are key aspects of my commitment to our engineering and service teams.

In my position, I get great satisfaction from guiding individuals through their Apprenticeships, enabling them to shape a brighter future. Sharing technical knowledge, acquiring resources and ensuring team compliance are areas I am deeply passionate about. Nurturing talent, especially through our apprenticeship program, makes me happy. Together, we work towards enhancing customer service and implementing top-tier practices across all levels sticking to our values with a culture of excellence in mind.

My responsibilities entail training and mentoring our engineering teams, with a standout moment being one of our team-building experiences that was held at Silverstone - I won the Sim Racing competition! 

Collaborating with my team to overcome daily challenges and look after our customers is one of my biggest aims.
